Amanda & Kevin :: The Wedding!

Amanda and Kevin’s wedding is the first I’ve photographed in which the couple has chosen not to see each other before the bride walks down the isle. I, too, chose not to see my husband before I walked down the isle. Maybe it was this, maybe it was the way Amanda and Kevin kept stealing glimpses of each other through the ceremony, either way, I couldn’t help but smile and feel totally connected with them. I often found myself thinking, “Wow. This is so beautiful!”. I adored the way Amanda kept reaching out to Kevin’s hand and squeezing it tenderly and the way Kevin would glance over to Amanda and just smile at her glow. Their day, their details, their passion. I could have drank it in all day.

I am thrilled that you both choose me to document your big day. It was an honor and a privilege. Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy looking through your wedding photos and reliving this perfect day for many years to come. Congratulations Amanda and Kevin!

Anna and Izzy 9 Months Old {Sioux Falls Children Photographer}

Anna and Izzy first came to me a few months back for their 6 month portraits. These little gals are such a joy to be around. It has been a treat for me to see them grow and develop. Though I have a hard time telling them apart, they both have very distinct personalities not to mention the ‘to die for’ expressions each of them give generously. They have wonderful parents who take the time to let them explore and learn about their surroundings while keeping them safe and happy. I feel very lucky to be the photographer who gets to capture these cuties!

Mark and Lisa Engaged! Sioux Falls Engagement Photographer

Mark and Lisa are the kind of people you feel drawn to be around. They bring out the best in each other and in everyone around them. Through our session, they would look at one another and just smile. This is the kind of couple I love to photograph.

The day was really perfect temperature wise although we struggled with the wind a little. We did find a few places that were slightly secluded from the wind and I believe we got some gorgeous shots. I am excited to share this fun couple!

Josh and Martha ~Bonesteel, SD Wedding

From the moment I arrived in the small town of Bonesteel, South Dakota, I noticed how excited not only Josh and Martha were for their wedding, but the entire town. Martha and Josh put each other at ease. Their love radiates through the coy looks to reaching out and touching each others hand. It is plain to see how in love they are.

We had a wonderful time photographing in the church as well as in one of the most unique locations I’ve ever had the pleasure to work; a wheat field. The wheat wasn’t golden yet, as I’m told that happens in the fall, but it made for some extraordinary photographs never the less.

Josh and Martha were referred to me by the photographer who photographed my  wedding. It was an honor working with them and I am so excited to share how beautiful of a couple they are.

Lori and Travis ~ Sioux Falls Engagement Photographer

Lori and Travis have been in love as long as anyone can remember. They can effortlessly read each others body language and help one another to feel more comfortable. There really is something to the idea that you should marry your best friend and Travis and Lori are perfect examples of a wonderful friendship as well as romance.

Their engagement session was an exciting one for me because we took the opportunity to explore East Bank Sioux Falls a little and discovered a few spectacular locations. Although the weather was gloomy, their attitudes and smiles radiated. I hope you enjoy this love session as much as I do. Congratulations on your engagement Lori and Travis! See you in August!

Vince and Allison {The Wedding} Dell Rapids Wedding Photography

Vince and Allie’s Engagement photos were one of the first posts I wrote for this blog (See them here!) and yesterday was their wedding day! What an absolutely perfect day it was. From the weather, to the church, to Allison’s dress. All of the details were in place for this fairytale wedding.

Vince and Allie had a gorgeous wedding surrounded by numerous family and friends. Standing at the alter, Allie had the biggest smile on her face. She and Vince make such a sweet couple. It was my pleasure to work with them again. Congratulations Vincent and Allison! You had a beautiful day to start the rest of your lives together!

Cullen Newborn {Sioux Falls Newborn Photography}

Baby Cullen was one of the sweetest newborns I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. He snuggled down and fell to sleep with little coaxing and slept nearly the entire session. What a pleasure he is!

I recently purchased a few furs for my studio and got to try several of them out on Cullen. I think I’m in love! I can’t wait until I get to do another newborn session and use these adorable props again! Please contact me if you are expecting and would like to get on the books for a newborn session.
