Noah ~ 4 Years Old! {Sioux Falls Child Photography}

Noah is as energetic as they come. He is an almost four year old with a sweet spirit and a contagious laugh. It took a little while for Noah to warm up to the camera, but before long, he was posing with the best of them. Noah is definitely all boy and had a blast when we took series pictures of him leaping and flying off the logs we found.

It can be a challenge as a photographer to get nice pictures of active children, but I find it’s one of my favorite things. It’s a joy when I can capture the feelings and emotions of the child on film. This is a time in his life that is brief, and I love being able to look back on children being themselves.

Beckham 9 Months Old {Sioux Falls Child Photography}

Beckham is the winner of my recent Cute Baby Contest and had over 2,000 votes! As the winner, he received a free photo shoot and a DVD of images to have printed and share.

B-Man is a mommy’s boy through and through. He is most content when he is when he is able to explore for a few moments on his own, and then come back to mom’s arms. Jamie is always allowing him independence as well as reassurance when he needs it. She is such a wonderful mommy to Beckham. He’s a very lucky kid!

It was a very cold and rainy day when we were scheduled to do this session so we had to be creative with our locations. We took a few under a Gazebo at Tuthill and then headed indoors to the Old Courthouse Museum. I am looking forward to photographing little Beckham when it’s time for his 1 year photos!

Spencer Turns 1! {Sioux Falls Child Photography}

I was in for a treat with this family and didn’t even know it! When I met Andrea and Ryan with their charming son, Spencer, at Tuthill Park, I was thrilled see the connection between the three of them. They are an amazingly sweet family who constantly are making each other smile.

When I was preparing for this shoot, I made a cute flag streamer to hang behind the birthday boy and a little crown for his head. They turned out darling! It was so fun to take pictures of this family interacting as well as using some of the goodies I made.

Brett and Kalahari – The WEDDING!

After photographing Brett and Kalahari’s engagement session, I was eagerly awaiting their wedding day. Love radiates between them in the way the look at each other and can’t seem to get enough of being with one another. Kalahari is in St. Kitts, Brett is in Brookings. That’s the way it’s been for a year, but now that the wedding vows have been said, Brett and Kalahari are packing their bags and moving to Saint Kitts to spend their lives in each others company.

The wedding day was a little too windy for the outdoor wedding that was planned, but they had a fantastic backup venue planned right inside the Izaak Walton League. Once inside, the club has a hunters lodge kind of feel and was classically decorated with delicate lighting and flowers. The atmosphere was warm and excited as Kalahari and her father, Jim, neared the front of the isle. Everyone wanted to capture the beautiful bride being escorted down. Handwritten vows were exchanged by Brett and Kalahari leaving not one dry eye in the place.

When Brett and Kalahari were pronounced husband and wife, and left the venue, Kalahari exclaimed to Brett “We’re FINALLY married!!!”

Congratulations Brett and Kalahari!! I feel so privileged to be part of your big day. May you have a long and joyous life together full of adventures!

Elliot Newborn – Sioux Falls Family and Newborn Photographer

Lacey and Andy are very easy going parents. I can tell that Lacey is very nurturing and has wanted her entire life to be a mother. She is so gentle and loving towards little Elliot that it  melts my heart. Andy is obviously deeply in love with his wife and little son. He can’t seem to take his eyes off of either of them. I love to catch his glimpses towards his wife. When they look at each other, it’s easy to read “can you believe we made something so perfect?” in their glances. It is completely charming!

Little Elliot was a pleasure to work with. He was so alert and focused for a little guy! We did get him to drift off into slumber towards the end of the shoot and get some sweet sleeping baby pictures. Here are a few sneak peeks of the photos from this fun shoot!

Rees 3 Months Old – Sioux Falls Baby Photographer

Rees’ Grandma, Mommy and Great Auntie drove over two hours to have a session with Hannah Parker Photography! I am so honored that they would go out of their way to work with me that I just had to share.

I had an absolute blast photographing this little guy. He was the most smiley three month old I’ve ever met. His ladies came in with a tote of props which I always enjoy! We picked some of the most adorable little outfits and did most of the pictures just in a diaper. He is so sweet and so handsome. Rees is positively surrounded my loving ladies. He is sure to grow up to be a good man. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do!

Sneaky Baby!

Kenli Mae at 6 Months – Sioux Falls Child Photographer

Kenli is a total cutie! And I have proof; She won 2nd prize in my Cute Baby Contest this year with over TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED votes… seriously! That is majorly cute. She has brilliant smiles and giggles. Her parents are totally smitten with her. She is curious and sweet. Are we looking at the next Miss America? I wouldn’t be surprised.
